Hi. While I agree that 'fuzzy period before now' is a good representation of time for comments, it is also a very poor representation for some specific purposes, such as comparing a comment's timestamp with that of another, or with the posting of an article, or some news event. I think a good general-purpose solution is to augment the fuzzy time with an actual timestamp shown on hover, perhaps formatted as ISO8601.
